After escaping the indigenous north for crimes of eco-terrorism, former land defenders Esther and Tony live new identities as rodeo performers in the south. The couple’s pact of non-violence is broken when Tony’s attempt to save their community from land grabbers ends in bloodshed, setting off a series of events which triggers a looming earthquake that awaits to judge their fates.
